Martina

Supplies needed:

Tube of choice - I am using Martina by Carpe Diem, whom it appears is no longer doing tubes/artwork.
Do not any use artwork without a licence.

Scrapkit - FTU Emerald by Mizteeque HERE

Another great free kit. Thank you Tee!

Mask of your choice.
(I used Dragon_fly (Vivienne) 53 HERE

Font of choice.

Drop Shadow 2,3,55,10 Black.
No Filters.

Don’t forget to sharpen or use the unsharp feature when re-sizing/rotating your elements/tube.
Except where noted I am working from back to front for my layering.
I am using PSP x2. Some of the effects may not be available in earlier versions.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Open blank canvas 600 x 600 px, floodfill white.
Open mask and tube and minimise for now.
Open paper 4, copy/paste into canvas, resize 75%, apply mask 53, merge down to group, re-size by 90%
and move down and towards bottom right corner of your canvas.
Open frame 3 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 55%. Position central in canvas.
 Open paper 5, copy/paste into canvas, Image/Mirror, resize 45%, adjust size fractionally using
your Pick Tool to make a background for your frame.
Use my tag above for reference and …..
Open tube, copy/paste into canvas, re size to suit (I used 80% with my tube).
I then drew a rectangular selection around my tube/invert and deleted around 50% of it. Deselect.
I then ‘softened’ the bottom edge with my eraser to lose the harsh straight edge and make it appear to
be coming out of the frame. I also erased a little bit off the bottom left side of the tube.
Duplicate the tube, Adjust/Blur/Gaussian blur at 5 px, change blend mode to Overlay and reduce opacity to around 65%.
Dropshadow the bottom copy and Dropshadow the frame.
Time to add some more elements, see completed tag above for placement.
I used the following:
Ele 29 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 40%, duplicate 3 times and merge down.
Position above masked layer and under frame/background layer.
Ele 21 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 50%. Dropshadow.
Ele 34 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 50%. Dropshadow.
Ele 49 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 50%. Dropshadow.
Ele 11 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 20%. Dropshadow.
Ele 19 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 20%. Dropshadow.
Check on how it looks and make any final adjustments, add copyright and licence information then
close off white background layer and add names as required.
Scrapkit - FTU Steam Shore by MizTeeques HERE
Masks - Masks 12 & 20 Vivienne HERE
Font of choice.
Drop Shadow 2,3,55,10 Black.
No Filters.
Don’t forget to sharpen or use the unsharp feature when re-sizing/rotating your elements/tube.
Except where noted I am working from back to front for my layering.
I am using PSP x2. Some of the effects may not be available in earlier versions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Open blank canvas 600 x 600 px, flood fill white.

Open mask and tube and minimise for now.

Open paper 5, copy/paste into canvas, resize 80%, apply mask 12, merge down to group, re-size by 85%
and move down and towards bottom right corner of your canvas.

Open paper 4, copy/paste into canvas, resize 80%, apply mask 20, merge down to group, re-size by 85%
and move up and towards top left corner of your canvas.

I then erased some of the top mask to blend in with the bottom mask and merged both layers to form a single background.

Use my tag above for reference and …..

Open tube, copy/paste into canvas, re size to suit (I used 65% with my tube) and position right of centre. Drop shadow.
I ‘softened’ the bottom edge with my eraser to lose the harsh straight edge of the tube.
I then erased a small section of the background just above the tube.

Open ele 16 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 90%, and position towards the top right of the canvas, under your tube layer.
Duplicate this layer, Image/Mirror and move the duplicate down towards
the bottom left corner of your canvas, then erase the seahorse portion.

Open ele 11 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 45%, Image/Free rotate right 20.
Refer to my tag above for position.
 Duplicate, Adjust/Brightness & Contrast/Threshold at 126, change blend mode to overlay and reduce opacity to 25.
Merge down with the original and apply the Drop shadow.

Time to add some more elements, see completed tag above for placement.

I used the following:

Open ele 4 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 35%, position under tube layer. Drop shadow.

Open ele 2 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 30%. Drop shadow.

Open ele 47 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 30%. Drop shadow.

Open ele 30 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 15%. Drop shadow.

Open ele 24 copy/paste into canvas, re-size 15%, Image/Mirror. Drop shadow.

Check on how it looks and make any final adjustments, add copyright and licence information
then close off white background layer and add names as required.
I used font Brick Lane with an inner bevel and drop shadow of 2, 2, 55, 4.
Export as png on transparent background.
